but I've been preppin for Tiki Oasis
Tho i have been visiting this thread
and have been AMAZED at all the wonderful creations
born of these swaps...

here is my humble contribution..
it's an embellished thrift store find
maybe it was Tongan originally
didn't;t get a pre-shot of it
just threw it on the pile of things to paint up
this weekend..
so here it is
(with a Louis Prima song title as the initial inspiration)

cel-vinyl and acrylic over wooden thrift store low-relief carving
16 x 7"

Here are some close-ups so you can get a feeling of the relief carving
which provided some challenges and an opportunity to reveal the original
carver's intent under the paint...
