I do appreciate your edification, but I would like to make 3 points:

1. of course M-W.com (emphasis on '.com') would validify the verb "surf" as to having something to do with lazily gazing at a screen.

2. I did say it was my 'biased opinion'.

3. Duke Kohanamoku turns in his grave!
