Here is a brand new mug design by the Taboo Islanders - Nuku Hiva. He is named after the largest island of the Marquesas in French Polynesia - the island made famous by Herman Melville in his book Typee and visited by Robert Louis Stevenson. The design is based on an original carving found here on Taboo Island, most likely left here by missionaries during their travels to and from Tahiti.

This color combination is a strong matte red, weathered down over time, with a gloss black inside. There will only be 25 mugs produced in this color, each numbered on the bottom. Total run for this design will only be 100 plus 25 super limited artist proofs. Of the 100 run, every 25 will be a different color - totaling 4 different color combinations.

Measures 4" tall.

Hand made on Taboo Island in the U.S.A.
