hang10tiki I hope you'll be doing the same soon.

TikiHula I could do that! On this trip we found a FEZ vase that I thought was a perfect volcano size for a big bowl. We bought it. So your idea for a Fez Volcano is an idea in the works. The one we bought has a long name on the front that when we are home I'll research to see if it is a chapter that exists or existed.

Here's our Wednesday in the city.

Gypsy Caravan antiques had some very rough tikis.

Too big for our car.

Two old goats in a showdown.

We drove to Henderson to Lake Las Vegas. Dan had his hands full showing our friends the sights!

The casino was shut down so we had the place to ourselves.

Dan entertained our friends with an

Italian opera.

Next was a stop at Sam's Town

and then dinner at the MGM and a walk on the strip.

Now on to the tiki projects.

We poured out the slip from the easy molds.

For the Mondo-by-the-bay Zombie Torch we got out the siphon pump.

One end in the mug and the other in the bowl. It's so nice to already have this figured out.

What we didn't have figured out was how to empty this huge mold that didn't have locks between the two halves.

Dan was pouring

and then I saw the halves start to twist.

We turned it on it's two sides so they were equally supported but the damage had been done. This truly is a cursed bowl.

Emptied you can see the bases for the volcanoes that I'll be adding to these islands.

If I ever use this mold again I will first drill holes and insert wooden pegs to make locks. That way the two halves will not move ripping the bowl.

After being upside down all night I turned it over and looked at the damage.

I will repair this. As long as the clay is wet it can be fixed.

Now it's time to open the molds.

Thank you all for the visit and for the Wish List orders. I look forward to working for you.

Cheers, Wendy
