In regards to your screws in the bamboo.......In my hut I cover all the screw heads with Braid. I also use tan deck screws in bamboo so it blends better. http://www.bambooandthatchetc.com/index.php?cPath=686_687 Little spray glue on the braid and the bamboo makes it stick together pretty well.
