We hope you take the time to drop by a Tiki Thirstday some time soon. When a few of us (myself, TikiGAP, MoaiMiki, and others) first started going, the only thing Tiki about the place was a handful of Tiki drinks and a few mugs. Over time, as we got to know the owners, we helped shape the bar menu - getting them to add a true to the Trader's recipe Mai Tai and eventually several more classics (many from recipes shared right here at TC). Today the bar has a solid Tiki drink menu of over 20 drinks. (Including the only other Black Magic worth drinking this side of the Mai-Kai) As we started having our Tiki Thirstdays, and more local tikiphiles started coming, the owners have upped the ante by thatching the bar, getting a new music system to play Exotica and other mood setting music, and are now shopping for new tiki themed table clothes and tiki shirts for the staff. The place, especially on Thursday nights is a great deal more Tiki than it once was and much more Tiki than anyplace else in the DC area. Give 'er a try.
