My fiance and I are originally from Florida and are now living in Austin. It's a wonderful place that offers endless opportunities (for example, we opened a mid century modern vintage store last November, something we'd never be able to accomplish in South Florida), but there is a serious lack of tiki culture here. We miss the Mai Kai. Greatly. And in fact will be getting married there next Spring. But until then, I'm going to have to keep honing my mixing skills to fill the void. Always anxious to learn more and this site is a tremendous resource. Hope to make some new friends too. Mike.
