Chipping away at Professor Cocktail's Zombie Horde recipe book this Halloween week. Trying a Founding Farmers (Jon Arroyo) Chief's Zombie for the first time. Used Cruzan 151 instead of the Bacardi that is called for. Very well-balanced Zombie iteration for the most part. Calls for Ango and Peychaud's bitters as well as falernum and absinthe — all of which give this modern take on the classic Zombie enough complexity to keep it interesting. Also includes pineapple juice, maraschino liqueur and grenadine which together probably make the drink just a tad sweet. Will remake and dial back the grenadine a bit, and might sub Lemon Hart 151 as well. I am liking this Zombie!
