I think what I'm getting at is there are only so many great tiki locations in the area and for a similar experience I'd recommend the Tomahawk. I'm not mistaking it for a tiki establishment nor am I trying to offend either culture. I just think a tiki enthusiast might enjoy going and get more out of it than the average visitor. Finding a great 60+ year old diner of any kind is hard, enjoying a great collection of artifacts in a private collection is a lucky experience and generally appreciating such a survivor of an establishment isspecial. I'd wager someone on here who is travelling to Vancouver may enjoy adding it to their list of destinations.
