I wanted to introduce myself and invite you to listen to a holiday Christmas tune created by your truly. I'm a steel guitarist who has lived in Hawaii for almost three years now. I live in a tiny town called Honomu, it's about 15 miles north of Hilo on the east side of the Big Island. Population 500! Many people have visited my town on the way to the famed Akaka Falls. It's a land of steep cliffs, pounding waves, winding roads, forgotten sugar mill ruins covered in vines, and rural tropical splendor. Picture yourself in the evening on the lanai in a quiet village on the Hamakua Coast, the east side of the Big Island. With a lilikoi margarita in hand, you hear the sounds of distant ocean surf and the mesmerizing conversation of coqui frogs. Warm breezes blow by scented with cloves, night jasmine, ocean, and sugar cane mixed with wild kalhili ginger from upcountry meadows. It's the holidays on the Big Island!
