Hey dudes and dudettes, I'm a newb around here (but have been lurking for months) and the intro thing seems to be the place to start, so here goes nothin'.

My name is Seth and I'm a 27 year old tiki novice in San Diego, CA. I grew up in the Chicago burbs watching Gilligan's Island reruns with my grandparents and sneaking swigs of Bacardi from their basement bar. you could say I fell in love with the idea of year round fun in the sun and umbrella laden drinks at a prettyy young age. While thrifting in Point Loma one day I stumbled across a Tiki Farm mug by Squid and really it was all down hill from there. I was in love instantly. I'm pretty much tiki crazy these days and have amassed a tidy little collection in the better part of a year. Obviously I love collecting mugs- though quality ones in the wild seem rather hard to come by in these parts. I also really enjoy Coco Joe's pieces and have recently got quite addicted to finding and playing old Hawaiian/lounge vinyls.

Anyway, I love this website and the cultural community it both facilitates and records. I hope to become a contributor in one form or another here soon. Mahalo!
