But the color along with the organic features give it the appearance of something like hardened lava. It also brings out very dramatically the natural hues of the Manzanita wood which is really a star feature of this work. I'm proud of him alright and could end up keeping him for a bit at the price I will be asking. A lot of work went into him, but it was worth it!
