I use John Taylor's Velvet Falernum typically only because it's inexpensive, large in quantity, and convenient, but I'm not a fan really. A bit sweet and lacking in the spice that I love so much with BG Reynolds'. I've been thinking about making my own falernum (just starting w/the recipe provided in Remixed) though I wonder how that compares to the brand I love so much.
