Thank you Wendy. Sgraffrito is a technique I have used in clay where you cover one color of clay with a thin layer of a contrasting colored clay then carve through one color into the next. Apparently you can use the same technique with paint. I tried it - it makes a cool texture up close but doesn't have much color contrast. |
