If we are including "classic" exotica in this discussion, I can't resist mentioning an album I lucked into at a collectibles fair in Antwerp this past weekend, Stanley Black's "Exotic Percussion" on Phase 4. I'd put it right up with Baxter for tight orchestral arrangements, exotified with vapor girls, gongs and jungle drums. ~Kelly |
