Even though we just had a major snow storm this week the Robins and Redwing Blackbirds are back. Another indicator of spring in Michigan is the annual arrival of semi loads of bagged garden mulch stacked up for sale at local gas stations. I'm not joking either. Rows and rows of bags of mulch for sale at most of the gas stations around here. Strange. I have so much snow in my yard I half expect to see a mastodon and a couple of cavemen to start melting out of the piles. I'm so done with winter.
