I've been searching for any information on this place for quite a while now with little luck. First heard of it on Woofmutts Tiki Past: Seattle topic with Sabu's now missing postcard of the location. So here it is...


The postcard of the annual Daffodil Parade is from sometime in the 1950's.


Zooming in you can see a very nice neon sign.


And this ad from the 1953 Pacific Lutheran University Yearbook.

For a while I thought the sign was a sort of joke, the cafe being on Pacific Ave. South but the fare being Italian, made me wonder if these two were second owners of the restaurant? I read an obit of a different man that said he had owned it from '58 to '80 but this seems unlikely to me as no one I've asked recalls this place.
