Next category up is AUSTRALIA CRYPTOZOOLOGY (the science of theoretical animals)
My offering is "The Bunyip"
16 X 20" in a refinished vintage frame.
Wikipedia defines the Bunyip thusly:
The bunyip is a large mythical creature from Australian Aboriginal mythology, said to lurk in swamps, billabongs, creeks, riverbeds, and waterholes. The origin of the word bunyip has been traced to the Wemba-Wemba or Wergaia language of Aboriginal people of South-Eastern Australia.

I have based (borrowed liberally? plagiarized?) my study on an illustration from a historical account, a moss-backed version on http://www.cryptidwikia.com, and also a still shot from classic Universal monster movie Creature from the Black Lagoon.
