Ideas for using demerara rum in tiki cocktails? - Tiki Drinks and Food

Here are a couple personal Demerara recommendations: Try a "Boo Loo" if you're into fancy presentation. Hollow out a pineapple (buy a tool for this) and then make the drink and serve it. Your guests will be very impressed, and the drink is not bad. Try "Beachbum's Own." It's the predecessor to the one further refined and served at Latitude 29 in New Orleans. Hope this helps. Using the search term "Demerara" in the "Drinks and food" forum (and Google-save for some non-tiki cocktails) did not produce off the beaten path info on cocktails. HOWEVER, (and again, thank you for your influence) I have not tried the names of specific rums-duh:( That will be my next step. I am new to tiki cocktails and rum, so I have not tried apps-are you teaching me how to plant corn and not just giving me one time periods supply? Thank you for the recipes. I will check them out. Ok, enough for now, and for now, you have pointed me in some great directions! This was very helpful.
