If you are looking to fill 2-inch wide holes, you will have to go for older-style NZ coins as they shrank them in 2001 to save on metal and to save weight - the current 10c and 20c pieces are substantially less than 1 inch wide (20 mm). The old-style 10c coin was almost an inch across (23.62 mm): http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces3523.html Another option is the current French Polynesian 10 Franc coin which is also 23 mm across: http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces930.html Neither of these coins have a high face value or numismatic collectable value so you should be able to pick up a few on-line at reasonable prices. |
