I can remember my mom having to jump through all these hoops for an SBA loan, they even have people that for a fee would do the many forms for you it was so hard. One of the questions on the form was your projection for what you would make the first year of operation. my mom was very proud of the fact that she hit this number within 100 bucks, so was SBA. She had to meet with SCORE advisers as well, she had owned three other places before this and thought this to be a pain. By the time I was going to open a place as well women were no longer eligible for an SBA loan, at least not one like my wife. Don't know how that is today.
