Got back to the studio, a little more scratching. To recap, I was inspired by the artwork used on the Luau La Jolla matchbook and print ads... (the pic to the right). I had no idea that "Su Casa," a Mexican restaurant that is in the same building as the Luau, has been there for years, and I've been quite a number of times. I have to go back to hunt for anything left from the old days of the Luau... Rear (w/ buttocks included at no extra charge): This is now going to dry out, then get bisque fired. My plan is to have it look similar to the original artwork when finished. Fingers crossed.
