Texas is a wasteland for classic tiki--for some reason, the home bar craze never took root here during the 50s and 60s. No basements, I suppose. So I got excited Friday when I learned there was an estate sale a couple towns over featuring a tiki bar area. Unfortunately, the sale started on Friday, so the really great stuff was gone before I got there Saturday. Even then, some cool stuff had already been set aside that morning (some of which I've already seen posted to the Austin CL). Regardless, I was able to abscond with a modest haul of tiki materials.

I'm still kinda shocked that punch bowl set was still there. It's dusty and needs to be cleaned up, but apart from one cup that has a crack in it, it's in excellent condition.
