Of course those reviews were written years ago, so maybe Keven Crossman has since become more discerning. Maybe he even posts here on Tiki Central.

"Expert" label comes from Tiki Road Trip author James Taitelbuam, not me.

I think it's perfectly fair to call Hawaiian Mai Tais "Mai Tais" as long as you're being transparent about the pineapple juice. I like those drinks. I like traditional 1944 Mai Tais much better. But the Hawaiian Mai Tais are fine especially in Hawaii.
