Piddersthecat thank you so much. I appreciate comments so much.

hang10tiki good to know! He is so off balance in the painting maybe that's what Loki Tiki was thinking about.

=============================

Wish List #8 here are some more steps on Loki Tiki's Black Velvet Painting.

When doing these I am working front to back which is just the opposite of doing a painting on canvas. I keep looking to see if I can improve what I've already done.

So here I brightened up some of the leaves so that there are more that are closer and some lower that are in the shadows.

Nothing has changed in the painting accept that I used a flash when taking the photo. How your painting displays is all up to how much light is shining on it.

I printed out a photo of the next tiki to be painted. I move it around to find the best place for it. Then I outlined it with brown paint.

Next I filled in the outline and then I

left it to dry.

Here we go again with mapping out where the details go and

then layer by layer

getting it done.

Then to add depth I added bushes behind the tiki.

It's getting close to the end. Cheers, Wendy
