Would think nothing could eat them, we can but don't eat them often. If they are like the grey Squirrel here we need to start making clothes with them as they are EVERYWHERE. Don't want to get too bent just cuz they are cute. Chipmunks here are cute and there are way too many of them. At times it can help the population to thin out a type of animal due to overcrowding, way too many deer in our neighborhood. But people would flip if one was shot. Don't know the stats on puffer fish.
