This was not the first time Hawaiian culture made an appearance at The Adolphus. In the 1940s, The Century Room was completely renovated to fully embrace the culture. The redesigned space included tropical murals, live palm trees, and island huts. You can see a ceramic tiki in the upper left hand corner.
