I would not re-upholstery that thing till it was faded and I had to do it.
It's good that you can do it yourself.

I gave my wife a six band rattan set, the godfather rattan for Christmas one year and it took forever to get the guy to finish the re-upholstery job and was very costly.

What you need is a cool table lamp or a hanging light to center on that table.
Then deck it out with tiki bar ashtrays ect.
