Another weekend of carving… finally finished the panels to hide the curtain rail.

Total span is just under 6m. Lots of area to carve.

Planning the patterns. Boths sides mirror each other.

Burnt but not brushed yet.

Tried something different on these panels. Added japanese black stain on different shapes to make the patterns a bit more dynamic.

Both pieces side by side.

Stapled an cut down bamboo blind I had stored away to fill in the panel.

Managed to hang them up by myself by screwing in some eye hooks to the bamboo on the ceiling.

Hopefully these images stay visible as they're hosted on Google due to issues with Tiki Central file uploads.
