I had a thought recently when looking at a Don the Beachcomber menu: Have we been making the Zombie wrong?
I say this because if you look at the images on DtB menus of the OB Cooler, Mint Julep and Beachcomber's Punch, you'll notice that the mint is indeed a garnish sticking out from the top of the glass. However, on the same menu, the image of the Zombie shows the mint floating around at the bottom of the glass. That got me to thinking -- are we actually supposed to be muddling the mint? That would definitely change the flavor of a Zombie to something akin to a very complex Mojito.
