Robert E. Coleman bought all of my ceramic supplies, kiln and molds. To help him get started I sculpted a couple of mugs for him. We also taught him mold making with the first mug. He is now casting this mug. He said I should show the steps to the part I did for him. The sculpt and the mold.

He gave me the drawing photo of his idea to work from. I destroyed the last crawl mug sculpt and used the clay. Romo clay is so hard I use a hammer to shape it.

I sculpted and added clay until the basic shape was ready.

I then did the bottom. Today when I posted on fb it was pointed out that the year was 2021. That is when I did this sculpt and made the mold. I let Robert know. He can change the last number if he wants to.

The face will come next.

This is a fun project. I will enjoy seeing how he does the glazing. I will be there to guide him along. Ceramics are not easy.
