A few months ago I stumbled onto the documentary Plastic Paradise on youtube. I found the subculture to be really interesting, especially the desire by some to tap into the burlesque/vaudeville side of it. I've always wanted to go to a burlesque show of some kind and I have a feeling the tiki style could be a fun way to experience it. I live in New York so I feel like there really isn't anything tiki going on here. If there is I'd love to hear about it. I've got quite a few Hawaiian shirts in my closet begging for night out on the town. If you know of anything I should check out let me know! Also I'm curious are there any discord communities for tiki?
