Laid the Moai on his back and did the areas that would be upside down when he was standing - under the chin, under nose, eyebrows. Then used the rest of the bag of mortar on other parts of the face. Next - need to come up with a way to temporarily attach a couple of 2x4s for handles so that 2 guys can lift it and set him on the pedestal.
