I could be way off here, but this looks purely Asian to me. The 8 petaled flower motif below what could be a smiling Priest head leads me to think it's possibly Buddhist, representing a Lotus and the "Noble Eightfold Path". Being made in Japan, it could also be Shinto, and a boxier hat on a priest would be in the ballpark for Shintoism. [ Edited by Holofernes on 2025-02-20 06:22:45 ] |
