Hey everyone,

I’ve recently started collecting vintage tiki mugs and I’m absolutely hooked! I’ve found a few really unique pieces at thrift stores and estate sales, but some of them have minor cracks, faded paint, or glaze wear. I’d love to bring them back to life without damaging their authenticity or value. ragdoll hit For those of you who’ve been collecting longer — what’s the best way to clean, restore, or preserve older tiki mugs? Do you recommend any specific cleaning products or methods for dealing with surface cracks or color fading?

Also, how do you usually display your collection to keep it safe from dust or light damage? I’d love to hear how the seasoned collectors here handle restoration and care.

Thanks in advance for any advice or tips — I’m still learning the ropes! —James
