Wow. I thought I was being honest. Integrity??? Please, tell me about integrity. What a load. As I stated before, I don't try to pass this stuff off as original. I don't sign the FRONT of the canvas, simply because I understand that people are buying it because it looks like Shag. Not because of me. Of course, being a guy who likes to create, I have original works I've done. I just don't have the inclination to try to pass myself of as some kind of artistic visionary. Flounder, superb work, amazing, but not original. You're paintings of tiki mugs and tiki are beautiful, absolutly beatiful. But I just question any of it being original. C'mon, we're talking about TIKI!!!! I've been going to Oceanic since I was a kid, Leroy is a great guy, and what a feast for the eyes. But what is original about any of it???? I'm not a "3rd generation tiki creator", or whatever name you want to put on it. I'm Lars, and I have an uncanny ability to recreate things. Music, Art, you name it. So in this context, I'm a guy who can copy Shag, that's it. I'm not here to kiss anyones ass, or stroke them by telling them how cool they are. I'm not trying to wiggle my way into your hip scene. I don't care, frankly. I don't like people that much. I really just came here to ask some people to get their heads out of there butts, because it seems that they're starting to like the smell of their own crap. Everyone is trying to pick up the Shag's crumbs, to some extent, in this "Tiki Fest", yet none will admit it. You just keep pumping yourselves up, keep up that self-promotion, and you'll be a legend, just like you always wanted.
