Lars, come on!

Your not getting it.
Your paintings look like shag painted them. That's the problem.
Being influenced by someone is fine, but you have gone way past that.

As far as my art being original, I highly doubt anyone is going to look at anyone of my images and say "hey isn't that a Shag or a so and so".

My mug paintings are just that "paintings of existing mugs" it's like a still life.

My burlaps are mostly commisioned and are paintings of tiki's from the past that the people who commisioned them want on their walls, and some are images I have made up.

My abstracts are in the style of Basquiate, the key words being "in the style of" not the exact images of.

We are all influenced.

You definitely have talent. I would like to see something else of yours that is not shaglike.
