I was in Reno the 26-28th of March. Stayed at the Nugget and bought some duplicates of mugs I already have. The peanut mugs were sold from Trader Dick's for a long time and the older molds and glazes are by far superior to the 1980's mugs which look like knock off's.
I hit up 3 thrift stores but didn't have time to hit the St. Vincent's which I noticed at the last minute. Found no tiki mugs but I did score some Lyman, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Samoan, bossa nova and Command Percussion vinyl for 25 cents a record. I have all the mugs pictured so far so my chances of finding anything new in the mug dept. was nil anyway. Got to eat drink and be merry at Trader Dick's which recently shortened the menu. Dammit!! They really need to work on the terrible tunes they play and figure out how to drown out the casino music so you're not listening to two sets of bad music at once.
My father did some work on Harvey's(of Harvey's Lake Tahoe)ranch long ago.
I guess alot of peeps were in Reno last week.
