That's a beautiful model! I've never seen it before. If that is really from 1954, then it's not for the Tiki Room. The idea for the Tiki Room didn't come up until the early 60's. The model is most likely for a Polynesian restaurant. Years before the Tiki Room, there was a Polynesian themed restaurant there. When they built the Tiki Room, they re-did the restaurant into the Tahitian Terrace we all remember and love. |
