Tiki Taix is going International!!
In August of 2003, Poly Pop had a 1 year birthday luau for lovely, little Sydney. Who would have dreamed that anyone would want to be a party crasher at a 1 year olds birthday party...well THEY’RE BACK! All the way from Nevers, France we dedicate this episode of Tiki Taix to THE PARTYCRASHERS Vincent and Katell “Mr. and Mrs. TikiFrog” who will be presiding over tonights festivities. Please welcome them back to paradise with a mai tai at Tiki Taix!

Witness November 11th, 2001, Elks Lodge Wai Ki Ki. This is never before seen footage of the final public appearance of legendary vibes master Arthur Lyman as he reunites for the first time in 40 years with Martin Denny to perform their hit “Quiet Village” one last time. Sitting in are members of the band Colon featuring Lopaka Colon, son of Auggie Colon, and ukulele master Jake Shimabukuro.

"The Mai Kai Gents featuring The Mysterious Miss Mauna Loa" will meet you at the Elks Lodge in “Wai Ki Ki” and bring you back to Tiki Taix.

We will be watching the door for a surprise visitor from the Far Side...of the country. He may be carrying some bones.

A live sattelite feed from the TIKI TI !!! (Plumbing permitting!)

King Kukulele and the Friki Tikis featuring Riki Kon Tiki, Jonny Kalua, and Hanauma Jay will perform on the walls for you. Including songs never performed live from their new album.

Living Legend Bill Tapia the 96 year old Hawaiian ukulele player joined us in concert for last months Tiki Taix II. Six days later you may have seen his life story in the LA Times. Tonight watch a tape of our friend “Tappy” being inducted into the Ukulele Hall of Fame in Santa Cruz, CA. last Friday.

Join us for this one night only night one time. We'll be at Tiki Taix 1911 Sunset Blvd. in Echo Park 90026 One block north of the lagoon.
