Well, to risk the slings and arrows of trying to distill a movement to a few words, For the Teds ( Teddy Boys ) It would probably be Gene Vincent. I'm not to sure of the Rocker/Teddy Boy music scene in England. Just as Motown,The Blues,etc were influences on Mod. So were the American rockabilly artists of the day.
