Then she sends me an email saying she hopes I get sick or have a stroke!
Nice.

I'll never know if she was lying about her son but I truly hope not. It would take a pitiful person to lie about the death of a son as an excuse for negligence.

The good thing about sick kids is, unlike parents or grandparents, one can have quite a few. Normally, I'd expect the big guns like a dead kid would be saved for recklessness or even specific intent crimes. Simple negligence? A bad case of pink eye, maybe some gout.

As Mom used to say, it takes all kinds. Never liked that saying from Mom, then again...she's dead.
