I feel as though I have been under the spell of Tiki ever since I was a small boy. I lived in Micronesia from 1948-49 and was lucky enough to see native polynesians fishing with nets from shore and outrigger canoes in blue shark-infested waters while living on a coral atoll. My dad was stationed in Kwajelein and my brother and I along with my mom were able to tag along. I surf and collect Tiki along with other Hawaiiana. I collect Hot Rod memorabilia and love Tiki Bars. I love all kinds of exotic / lounge/surf music and go to see and hear Dick Dale as well as the Insect Surfers and the Blue Hawaiians. I met the drummer from the Infrareds recently and got a copy of their CD; I don't know if it's the latest , but if you haven't heard it yet and like surf music, this is smokin'!!
