I tend to apply the three-strike rule.
1st strike = benefit of the doubt
2nd strike = beginning to have real doubt
3rd strike = it's in them
Anything after that = I'm doubting myself, meaning I must be a sucker
I say I apply that rule, but really, I like to think the best of everyone and often don't live by my own rules.
