There is an exhibition called hula dreams in Sydney. It features 50 ukeleles painted by various people. These include Garry Shead, George Gittoes, Kaz Cooke, Martin Sharp, Mic Conway, Greg Weight, Reg Mombassa and Paul Worstead. All of the ukes are for sale ranging from $400 to $3000.

It is open Thursday to Sunday, 11:00am to 6:00pm, free until November 21. Gallery East, 21 Burnie Street, Clovelly, 9665 5414

Does not sound strictly tiki but still cool enough to warrant a look

I received an invitation about the show. Some ukes looks really fantastic. Too bad I'm a bit far from Sydney.

I hope to make it. If I do I will submit a full report. If I dont, well I will be wondering like the rest of you. I hope to get pics, but they might not let me.

If only I had the $300 to buy one...

Hey guys, I'm going next week, so I'll get afew pics, sounds like a cool show. Hopefully see you there Hewey.
Meanwhile I've got to get back to my pillaging of Austrailian markets for all of the great Tiki stuff.
