Name that Product!

Pages: 1 46 replies

Now that I've been reduced to posting drivel, here goes...

Hey kids, here's a fun and exciting game the whore family can enjoy! Name that Product!

Here's how the game's played. List the industrial standard ingredient names of a popular food product, along with some hints as to it's commercial name.

And now the fun part: We all try to guess the name of the product!

Winner receives a personalized merconocin!

Here's my entry:

Corn flour, sugar, oat flour, brown sugar, partially hydrogenated cottonseed oil, salt, niacinamide*, yellow 5, reduced iron, zinc oxide (a source of zinc (duh)), yellow 6, thiamin mononitrate*, BHT (a preservative), pyridoxine hydrochloride*, riboflavin*, folic acid*. * = one of the B vitamins.

Hints: It's NOT a mushy lieutenant.

Is it Corn Pops?

Captain Crunch !!??

DZ

I agree - Cap'n Crunch (but without my favorite F,D & C Red #5, it can't be CrunchBerries...)

Of course, It's gotta be Cap'n Crunch!

Excellent game!

Here's my entry for round two:

Ingedients: Purified Water , Vinegar , Polysorbate 80 , Citric Acid , Phenoxyethanol , Sodium Methylparaben , Sodium Ethylparaben , Sodium Propylparaben , Sodium Citrate , Edetate Disodium

Hint: It goes in the same place it comes out.

Chewing gum

quisp vs. quake ???

H

I hope I didn't jump the gun by launching a round two. It looked like the first round was a slam dunk. Nevertheless, my apologies to Tiki Bong for rushing in before round one has officially ended.

Now then, Chewing gum is a good guess but off by almost three feet.

And another hint: People turn a blind eye to the extremely sexist marketing of this product.

summer's eve?

Is it Summer's Eve Douche?

And yes, it was Captain Crunch.

A TGI Friday's Mai Tai?

Trader Woody

Yes, Summer's Eve is close enough.
It's actually Massengill's extra cleaning formula.

Not exactly a food product, unless you go to TGI Fridays...

Captain Douche

Ingrediant: fluoxetine hydrochloride.

Hint: mood food...

Fluoxetine Hydrochloride - What is Prozac, Alex? The perfect twist in a Mai Tai. Talk about escapist.

How about:
Methylphenidate Hydrochloride - The secret ingredient in my Zombies.

Howzabout a hint. Like, "can also be used to clean contact lenses", etc.

And the plush lamprey passes to Hakalugi.

Yeah, but was it using "partially hydrogenated vegetable oil" 75 years ago?

J

Yes, it is a twinkie! Sorry for taking so long to reply. I forgot where this thread was, and had to do a search for "twinkie" and hope that someone got the answer.

I think that they used fully hydrogenized vegetable oil back in the good ol' days when twinkies were first made. That, or they just used lard! Mmm.... lard!

I think they also used monosorbates back then, probably # 7. In 1968 they started using the polysorbates.
