Yes, it is a twinkie! Sorry for taking so long to reply. I forgot where this thread was, and had to do a search for "twinkie" and hope that someone got the answer. I think that they used fully hydrogenized vegetable oil back in the good ol' days when twinkies were first made. That, or they just used lard! Mmm.... lard! I think they also used monosorbates back then, probably # 7. In 1968 they started using the polysorbates. [ Edited by: joefla70 on 2005-03-08 17:48 ] |
