Whoa, are you kiddin' me? I thought they (the Ghastly Ones) hung up their hooves some time ago. I'm so giddy right now I can hardly stand it. I wish we could go, but we got Asphalt Invitational and Strangers CC this w/e to 'tend and vend to... Reverb, please check back and report in on the show to this thread, pretty please? I'll be your best friend...@;-)

Damn, we can sympathize, it's been swelter skelter here in Norcal, too. It's hot as hell, because there's so many sinners in SoCal @;-) Thanks for the clips. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for more show updates. Rae Well, shoot! I just went back to check the band link, and the account has been suspended. @:-( [ Edited by: Mystiki 2005-07-27 23:00 ] |

I was there and it was an incredible show. I happened to enjoy the movie (the Ghost in the Invisible Bikini) but I have bad taste in movies and basically just like kitschy stuff so what can I say? The movie did have tikis in it, if that redeems it at all. There were some by the pool while the kids go-go danced to fuzzed out instros by the Bobby Fuller 4. As far as the Ghastlys, they were just amazing, and very friendly as well. I must also make note of the club, the CIA. Not tiki, but one of my fave places in the world. It has a sideshow theme and there are strange artifacts and memorabilia all over, including shrunken heads and an alligator mummy in the bar. |
