Aloha!! I am new to the Tikiroom and I am looking for advice from the experts. I am building a bar for the backyard patio. I have the frame almost complete but now i am stuck i can't seem to find any places in the Toronto area that sells bamboo. I've checked home depot and Home HArdware but i've found nothing. Would it be easier if I bought online and where? Or should I wait until the weather gets better because stores like these would carry bamboo in the spring and summer? Please advise. Pablo |

There are great places to find bamboo online... Try checking out yr local "Huge-ass gardening emporium". That's where I'm gonna stock up when the time comes. Hope that helps. |

You won't find bamboo there except plant stake sized. If you want soemthing like 2 1/2 inch diameter or so you'll need to put in an order with Oceanic Arts. Bamboo is cheap, shipping is expensive. Find a friend or two to split the cost of a bundle with you. And, once you have it, you'll find lots of uses for it. |

By all means, look locally. You'll save a fortune if you don't have to get the stuff shipped--even if you have to lash it to your car! |
