It looks like it has been around for a century getting knicks and scratches. Killer work. How was it carving a big chunk of Oak. It must be a nice piece of wood. I couldn't understand why sparks were flying out of the woood at one point when using the chainsaw, I called the wood mill I bought it from, and they said, yeah, it tends to happen quite a bit! I would like to make a working one too, but I'd definately choose a softer wood.

Looks like you ditched the oak this time and went with a softer wood (pine, perhaps?). What did you do to the inside (the white) is it just painted or is it treated in some way to hold ice or something?

The insides are fibreglassed and painted with a foodsafe resin, unfortunately it only comes in Grey and won't hold any more pigment so I can't change the colour. Johnny,, I've done 4 of them now and although I've sussed out a few tricks to speed up the process they are still one of the hardest things to carve, but I still want to try a full sized one at some point.
